The Empties

The Empties

Saying that I finished these products till I hit pan means one thing (besides the fact that I liked them)… repurchase! That also means I get to indulge in a mini shopping spree, purchasing products I absolutely loved.

Cupcake Fresh Face Mask by LUSH: If you like chocolate then you’ll love this. I personally don’t like chocolate but I love how this works on my skin. It works at helping you skin feel nice and clean, is supposed to help with oil and it does. After using this skin never felt so clean.

Aqua Marine by LUSH: I have always found this to be an odd product. The greenery, which seems like seaweed to me, is so odd. Take a peas size amount; add water and you get a milky sort of consistency. It’s an odd thing to put on the face but it works.

Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask by LUSH: This is amazing for sensitive skin. It also smells great!

Dior Show Iconic Waterproof Mascara: It does what it’s meant to do. When I would run out of my Channel Maraca, I’d purchase this mascara. It’s supposed to give length and volume but I didn’t see volume when I applied it. It does last all day but it did lengthen my lashes

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer: I’ve raved about this primer. It works well with my skin and I don’t even remember how I lived before this.

Jose Maran 100% Pure Aragan Oil: My secret to my long hair, although its not really a secret when I’m sure others use it for hair. I run this through my damp hair whether or not I blow dry.

Bubblegum Lib Scrub by LUSH: This is hands -down the best lips scrub I have ever tried! Its very grainy, has a great taste and smells so good.

Maybelline Clean Express Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover: I have been using this product for a few years now and it does its job but my next mention blew this product away.

Botanics Soothing Eye Makeup Remover All Bright: This is the best eye makeup remover I have ever tried. Shake it up to mix the product and place some on a cotton ball; let the cotton ball it on the eye for a minute. No fuss. No mess. I love it!

Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair Deep Conditioning Mask: Yes, it’s a sample size. Yes, I received it in my Ipsy bag but this works so well. I’ve been wanting to but the full size version but it’s so expensive for a conditioner. When a sample came in my bag, I was one happy camper. It’s very hydrating to the hair and my hair was soft and smooth after one use

Mac Fix + : I never really understood the significance of this product. I can honestly say I wouldn’t buy this product again.

Cutex Regular Nail Polish Remover: When I was a teenage and into polish my aunt use to borrow her nail polish remover and it was Cutex. It’s very hard to find but it works amazingly.

Givenchy Photo Perfexion Fluid Foundation – SPF 20: This is a lightweight foundation that applies a sheer to medium coverage. It lasted for maybe about eight to nine hours. I did see some fading in places such as my nose but in it’s defense I see that with a lot of foundation. It’s a little on the pricey side at $48 but it is something I would consider repurchasing.

Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub: I’ve talked about this before and this product changed my life. It’s a grainy scrub that not only smells great but also feels great.

November Ispy Bag

Right off the back I could tell this bag was intended for the holidays. The glitter bag, polish, liner, hairspray to keep the hair up and the facial treatment to prep your skin are screaming holidays. There’s not wrong with the theme of the holidays in a bag, in fact I think it’s quite cute. With that aside I don’t want to feel that I am complaining but I think I had enough of the Be a Bombshell products. For me the products I’ve been sent have never really worked. To be honest I actually have a color similar to it, so this will be going to my sister. Elizabeth Mott You’re so Fine, waterproof liquid liner is a black liner with silver glitter. I want to try it but I don’t need it. Last year for the holidays I bought a pencil liner at Ulta that is basically the same thing but pencil (although the thought just occurred to me to wear the line over the pencil. Hum…).

I have tired one product from this line and I loved it. I received Marc Anthony’s Oil of Morocco Argon Oil Hairspray. I don’t use hairspray but I want to try it. Nicole by OPI, Guys & Galaxies is a silver polish with silver glitter. I admit I have tried one product form this line and it’s their topcoat. I don’t need more polish. Trust me. I am defiantly giving this away as a gift. Lastly, Hollywood California Glam Glow Powermind Dualcleanse Treatment Sain Nettoyant Double Action (that’s a mouth full). I’ve only heard good things about Glam Glow, so I am very excited to try it. I hope my skin can take it. **Fingers crossed**

It sounds like I am giving away or not trying most of it but I don’t see it that way. Looks like everyone benefited from this months bag.

Sephora VIB Haul

I realize this is late but better late than never right. I didn’t get everything I wanted but I’m okay with that. What I needed I was able to buy. I had been trying samples of Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide. I finally convinced myself to purchase it. I bought it in the shade honey. It’s a very lightweight foundation. It’s a sheer to medium coverage foundation. It’s not greasy on the skin at all; it last about 8 to 9 hours on my skin before it starts looking cakey. I know there are dupes to the Beauty Blender but nothing is comparable to the original. With the pink blender I noticed the first couple of times I washed it, the pink dye would come off. I decided to try the white one; something about pink dye in the sink bothers me.

I was running out of the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. Lately I’ve been putting medicine due to my rosacea and my skin has been getting drier. This has really helped bring that moisture back into my skin (face). I am a huge fan of Makeup Forever’s lipstick. They are not only very pigmented they last a long time with a lip primer. I picked up N9, one of my favorite colors. I don’t think I need to say much about the next product. I’ve raved about Clinique’s Quickliner so many times; I think you’re tried of reading about it. But I did pick up one for my sister as a Christmas Gift. I picked up Really Black for her and Dark Chocolate for me.

What did you pick up?

Sephora VIB/Rouge Sale – Wish List

My Invitation

Thursday, or Wednesday night (if you’re a VIB Rouge who is attending Sephora’s private party) starts Sephora’s VIB/Rouge sale. There are tons of things I want but realistically probably won’t and seriously don’t need. Then there are things I want to buy for others for Christmas. If there was ever a good time to buy/try that lipstick from NARS or foundation from Urban Decay now is the perfect opportunity simply because it’s not full price.

On My List (to buy):
Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide Foundation, I’ve tried two samples in this in two different colors trying to find the right match. I’m still currently undecided but I love this foundation, it feels very light weight on the skin. It’s a sheer to medium coverage liquid foundation.

Clinique Quickliner in Dark Chocolate, my favorite everyday liner.

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer, it doesn’t break me out.

Bobbi Browns Tinted Eye Brighter, it makes my eye look awake when I don’t feel awake.

On My Wish List:
Brushes: Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Face Brush, I hear good things about it and at $48, I think the Sephora sale is maybe the only time I’d buy it. Then there are OCC’s brushes, I haven’t heard anything about them but they just look pretty.

Nail Polish: I want to try Nails Inc and Dior. I haven’t heard any bad reviews on either.

Makeup: Hourglass, I’m not sure which I want the blush or the Ambient Lighting Powder.

On My Gift List:
Formula X- I can’t decide if I wan to get my sister a nail color or The System. Realistically I may just give her a nail polish; I can’t see her fussing with all the other steps.

Clinique for Men Great Skin Set for Men, my brother loves the facial wash. He may like everything else, hum…

What you need to know (according to the invite):
Sale: November 6th (Thursday)– 10th (Friday)
Sephora Rouge Code: GIFTROUGE
Sephora VIB Code: GIFTVIB

What’s on your list?
